If the gasket is a specific thickness for adjustment or clearance purposes, then substitution is not a good idea. If there are not metal crush rings in the old gasket "O" rings to direct the oil to the head and the surfaces are relatively flat; then the ultra grey should work. Usually it is used between 2 machined surfaces, like the cylinder head cover, not to fill large clearances like RTV is used on cars engines in place of valve cover and other gaskets between stamped and machined places.
The smaller honda singles I have worked on have a seam between the case halves and "O" rings on one -three studs depending on the model so the gasket is critical. Later happy wrenching, max
